Up to 30 days of 24/7 hemodynamic profiling in the right heart to guide your therapy.

When the right heart comes under pressure

Pulmonary hypertension is high blood pressure in the arteries supplying the lungs and the right side of the heart. There are several causes for this for example pathological changes of the blood vessels in the lung or accumulated blood due to left heart failure.

High blood pressure in the lung can lead to right ventricular failure which ultimately will result in death.

  • CorLog makes it possible for the first time to measure blood pressure profiles directly in the right ventricle continuously and up to 30 days.
  • CorLog measurements can guide drug or device therapy to lower pressures in the lung and the right ventricle.
  • Once CorLog is in place no further procedures are needed. Blood pressure data will be delivered automatically to a standard patient monitor and to CorLog App for further analysis.
  • CorLog is wireless and enables mobility of the patient.

Repair of heart valves

Description of Disease or Condition:
Tricuspid valve regurgitation is a type of heart valve disease in which the valve between the two right heart chambers (right ventricle and right atrium) doesn’t close properly. As a result, blood leaks backward into the upper right chamber (right atrium). Tricuspid valve regurgitation can cause right ventricular failure. You can use CorLog to compare pressure profiles in the right atrium before and after interventions. CorLog makes exercise testing easy.

Mechanical heart support

Description of Disease or Condition:
Mechanical heart support is needed when the heart alone is not able to pump blood sufficiently anymore. One form of mechanical heart support are left ventricular assist devices (LVAD). These devices pump blood from the left ventricle in to the aorta to bypass the weak heart muscle. One side effect of LVAD can be pressure overload on the right side of the heart leading to right ventricular failure. Use CorLog to monitor your patients during their stay in the hospital. Detect right heart failure early and start your interventions in time.

Pulmonary hypertension

Description of Disease or Condition:
Pulmonary hypertension is high blood pressure in the arteries supplying the lungs and the right side of the heart. There are several causes for this for example pathological changes of the blood vessels in the lung or accumulated blood due to left heart failure. High blood pressure in the lung can lead to right ventricular failure which ultimately will result in death. Continous monitoring of right ventricular pressures will give you the advantage of directly knowing your therapeutic results and need for adjustments in early stages.

COVID-19 / ARDS

Description of Disease or Condition:
Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) can be cause by pneumonia for example due to COVID-19. ARDS is frequently complicated by pulmonary hypertension causing right ventricular failure. You can only start your interventions if you know they are needed. Use CorLog to find out.

Your patients, your application

Description of Disease or Condition:
You want to use CorLog for other applications? Contact us and we will discuss how CorLog can help to monitor your patients and guide their therapies.

Intended use:
CorLog Probe is used to assess a patient’s hemodynamic status by measurement of pressure profiles in the right heart. The product is a minimally invasive device used with short-term physical contact (up to 30 days).

Failure of the right ventricle

Description of Disease or Condition:
The right ventricle (RV) fails when there is pressure or volume overload or myocardial disease such as RV infarction or cardiomyopathy. However, the commonest cause of RV failure is pulmonary hypertension. Epidemiologically, the most frequent pathology for pulmonary hypertension development is left ventricular failure. Use CorLog to monitor and adjust your therapy if needed.
